The Pressman was the first Walkman
The Pressman was aimed at reporters, and when Akio Morita (Sony Chairman) saw a colleague using the Pressman (TCM-100) to listen to music on cassette, he got an idea, why not release a device that only plays cassettes? And as they say, the rest is history.
