New Sony S-Series coming to Japan
In addition to the newly announced A-Series, Sony Japan will also be introducing a new S-Series, the S10. As seen in the photo, there will be a multitude of colours, black, white, blue, vivid pink, green, and light pink. Capacities will be only 8 (S14) and 16 (S15) and priced at 15,000 and 18,000 yen (110, and 130 Euros) respectively.
As with previous S-Series Walkmans, there will be a speaker model as well, in 8/16GB, and in the same colour options as above and will cost around 18,000 and 21,000 yen)
There is Bluetooth but unlike the A-Series, aptX has not been included and there is no micro-sd expansion either. I have no idea what this brings over the previous S-Series. Noise cancellation is also on board like with the A-Series but Hi-Res audio support is not included. This new S-Series is most likely a less expensive alternative to users who do not wish to spend so much on the A-Series.
I am curious if Sony Europe will replace the current E-Series in Europe with this, but there is no evidence that they will anytime soon.
