Sony YY2981 model name will be WH-ULT900N

A while back I was told that the YY2981 would not use the XB model name. I was skeptical since the source did not provide any new model name. Well it turns out this is the correct. The new model will be called the WH-ULT900N.

Whether the model will keep using the XTRA BASS branding is unknown to me, but it could perhaps change to something like ULTRA BASS? Regardless, the model is name has changed. Not sure a model name change was necessary but perhaps Sony has their reasons.

For those wondering the design will be a mix of the current WH-1000XM5, WH-XB910N and WH-XB700. Meaning earcups like WH-1000XM5, the hinge support like on the WH-XB910N and the headband flush with the hinge like in the WH-XB700. The feedforward NC mic mesh will be similar to the one found in the WF-1000XM5, but much larger. The colour of the mesh will be the same colour as the body.

EDIT: Actually to simplify the description, they are closer to the design of the WH-XB900N, but without the extra vent under the hinge.

The import/export filing also confirms the new colours, black, white and gray.
