Sony A300 and ZX700 Walkmans Receive Android 14 Update
Just my luck, as I was writing up a post that Android 14 update would most likely drop very soon, the update drops. Ah great timing.
The update has 3 changes:
- Supports the Android 14 OS version update
- To reduce battery wear, your Walkman will now automatically turn off after 72 hours of inactivity, even when Auto power off is set to Off
- Provides security updates (the security patch level of the Settings menu will reflect August 2024)
The A-Series is discounted now on Amazon Germany -17%. Unfortunate the other areas like US, Canada and UK, there no discounts. I am still in the market for a new Walkman, but not sure if I will save up for a new Xperia or wait for a new line of Walkmans.
