Welcome to TheWalkmanBlog Mark 2.

The initiative for the move started about a few days before the WF-1000XM6 announcement, so it has been in works for a while. A lot has changed behind the scenes with the transition to WordPress and a dedicated hosting. The appearance and layout have been reworked significantly but in such a way that is still look familiar to returning visitors. Here is an overview of the new site.

Latest Posts

The top of the site has the latest posts on the blog. In addition the header navigation has been expanded with specific categories. One can use the navigation to quickly jump to the topic you are looking for.

All the news posts, which will include new product announcements, and various tech news.

Certifications

This new section replaces the old blog’s rumour tag. Any new models which are certified, import listings, and trademarks will appear here first. Teasers will no longer appear here, and instead be in the News section. Unverified rumours will now be in their own Rumor category.

Teardowns

A selection of the newest teardown posts. For all teardown posts, click here.

Walkman

The latest Walkman news, including rumours, firmware updates and reviews.

Technology

This new sections includes all my analysis of various Sony chips/technology, and Bluetooth news.

How to contact me

If you wish to contact me, you an use the contact form on the Contact page. Type in your details, and press Submit.

There are still some areas that I need to finish, like the archive, but for the time, the site is ready. Some areas will change in the future, same for appearance, but hopefully nothing to drastic.

Comments are turned on but use the build in comments from WordPress. If anyone has any lightweight and free comment plugins they would recommend, please contact me. FYI, one does not need an account here to make comments, just name and email. The email information will not be shared with anyone.

The site has no ads right not, but unfortunately I will add them when adsense is approved, to fund the hosting and domain costs. I’d like to thank everyone who helped with the move, especially LG.
