Sony Xperia VIII Screen Protector? I have doubts
A user on twitter has posted photos from a retailer (?) of a Xperia VIII screen protector. The photos include renders of a supposed Xperia VIII. From my analysis, I have doubts. There a lot of issues and discrepancies with the photos.
Below is the first photo from the tweet. The phone looks thinner and taller than the VII, and the top speaker looks to be less wide. The first problem with this photo is absence of the camera button. Second, the bezel on the sides of the phone appears to be much larger than the current VII. Would Sony cheap out on the screen in a new model?

While we do not have the dimensions of the new model, let us assume it is more or less identical to the VII. The photo below is a comparison of the ‘VIII’ and VII if the height was the same, 162mm.

With the same height, the ‘VIII’ bezel is larger and the corners of the screen are more rounded. This can be seen in the photo below.

If we overlay the ‘VIII’ over the VII, then the phone is either more narrow (if same height), or much taller (if same width).

Comparing the rear view photo from this tweet, and resizing the photos so they are to scale, we can see that the ‘VIII’ camera module is much smaller than the VII module and even the V module. The reason I included the V module is because it appears that the ‘VIII’ module looks pretty much identical to the V module. Perhaps a copy, paste and resize?

Question is, why would Sony make the camera module smaller on the new model? It makes no sense.
Here is a photo of the rear, showing the camera button on the angled shot, but not the rear view.

Definitely lots of discrepancies with these photos. Like I said earlier, I have my doubts. What are people’s thoughts? Could Sony go back to a taller and narrower device for the new generation? Leave your thoughts below.
If anyone has any actual specs and details of the new Xperia VIII, please contact me here, or email me.

No Zeiss T* logo at all. Ultrawide camera is smaller than on XPERIA 1 VII. Dought this is going to be like this.
