YY30…What is going on here?
I briefly touched upon this topic in a previous post last year.
Starting around late October 2025 to early November 2025, I started noticing a lot of import filings for new Sony headsets. Apart from the model name, the description for all of these headsets was the same. The presence of a charging box pointed to an earbud model. Here is an example for YY3010:
WIRELESS BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES (INCLUDING HEADSETS THE HEADSET MUST AND CHARGING BOX), BRAND: SONY, MODEL YY3010
The import dates span from the 4th week of October 2025 until the end of December 2025. The countries importing these headsets varies, but for the most part, they seem to be going mostly to Japan. I would have to check if there is a pattern where the models are being imported. As of this post, there are 24 ‘new model codes’ in the import listings.

I was able to identify the exporter for the headsets and only one company appears, Goertek Technology Vina Company Ltd from Vietnam. Below is an example of a couple of entries.
As for the importer, I have only found a few entries, but the company is the same for all of entries as well, Goertek HongKong Co Ltd.
If Goertek sounds familiar, it should be, as I have mentioned them few times in previous posts. like here and here. The company has plants in Vietnam and China, and has supplied Sony with wireless antennas, like for the WF-1000XM6. The company also manufacturers various SiPs, some of which Sony uses in their earbuds, like the LinkBuds S, Fit, WF-1000XM5, and WF-1000XM6. I covered 3 models in previous posts, YY3006, YY3008 and YY3013.
Starting with the YY3006, this model has the same product description like the rest, but there is an import listing for HDX-3006. This listing seems to indicate that YY3006 could be an over-ear model rather than earbuds.
Next up is YY3008. This model has the same description, importer and exporter like all the other models, but the HDX-3008 listing, like in HDX-3006, seems to indicate this is an over-ear model. Whether either of these are wireless headsets is unknown.
Finally, the last model YY3013. Apart from the YY3013 import listings, there is also a HDX-3013 listing. This listing describes a piece for he battery compartment. The headset is a wireless model and will use a Mediatek chipset. You will have to take my word on these last details.
