When will the PULSE Elevate Wireless Speakers be released?
Sony announced the PULSE Elevate wireless speakers back in September 2025. The only release information is from Sony’s own website, stating a 2026 release. So when will the speakers finally launch?
Unfortunately I do not know the exact date. The only information we have is the FCC short term confidentiality end date, which is May 18 2026. This means that Sony will have to reveal the external photos, internal photos, and the manual to the public.
With the design revealed last year, the FCC external documents will not reveal anything new, so it will not matter if there is no release announcement before the end date. Of course, once May 18 rolls around, the manual, along with the specifications, and the internal photos will have to be revealed. Naturally, I suspect Sony could announce the availability and price in the next few weeks.
There is a rumoured PlayStation State of Play on April 16th according to NateTheHate2 on twitter. But this might be just a game oriented event with no hardware announcements.
There have been several import filings for the speakers, like to the US, Germany, and Japan.
Checking the filings for Japan for example, we can see the buyer is Inventec Appliances Corp.

And the seller (supplier) is also Inventec, Inventec Vietnam to be precise. I am confident that Inventec is the manufacturer, as they are the ODM responsible for the PULSE Explore earbuds and PULSE Elite Headset.

Looking through the FCC filing for the speakers, it looks like there are 3 antennas in each speaker, two antennas for 2.4GHz proprietary connection and one for Bluetooth.
The internal battery is 3.6V, but no capacity is provided. The filing does seem to reveal the Bluetooth SoC, either an Airoha Ab1565 or AB1568. Although technically the same chip, just different memory. The PULSE earbuds use an Airoha chip, the AB1565M, so Sony sticking with Airoha makes sense.

There is no information about what chip Sony is using for the 2.4 GHz connection. The speakers will be using the PS Link for this 2.4 GHz proprietary connection, like the other PS devices.
Recent information about the rumoured State of Play on April 16th is that it will be 3rd party oriented, and not Sony, with Sony holding their own event later in May/June. Sony revealing availability and price in May makes more sense, as a June date would be past the FCC end date. Sony could ask for an a FCC authorization withdrawal as they did with the LinkBuds line, on account that that product was delayed. But somehow I do not see that happening with the speakers.
From the details above, I have a hunch that we could see Sony announce availability and price in May, with retail availability in Summer 2026. If anyone has any price and availability details for the speakers, please contact me.
