Sony Adds Glass Purple Colour to INZONE Buds
The INZONE Buds are now available with a new colour, Glass Purple. The INZONE Buds are the second headset from Sony, following the WF-C710N, to feature a see through Glass colour.
Apart from the new colour, everything else is identical to the black and white colours. I feel there was a lost opportunity to introduce a Glass Orange colour, to take advantage of the Fnatic branding.
Looking back through my posts, I do not believe I even covered the INZONE Buds announcement in October 2023, not sure why. But I did post the FCC teardown, so there is that.
Regardless, the INZONE buds will be 3 years old this Autumn, so I suspect Sony is working on a new model. It could be any of the recent YY codes, but I do not know which one yet. The current model appeared on the FCC in July 2023, so if Sony follows a similar release schedule, we might see some import filings soon, and perhaps the FCC certification in the Summer.
I do wonder if Sony actually needs 2 different sets of wireless gaming earbuds, INZONE and PlayStation, but I guess both have their own niche. as the PS earbuds lack ANC and are using a different type of driver.
