Firmware Update to Version 3.06.00 for NW-ZX700/NW-A300 Series
Sony has released a new firmware update for the NW-A300 and NW-ZX700 Walkmans. The new update brings the version to 3.06.00.
Here is the change log:
- Provides security updates (The security patch level of the Settings menu will be as of May 2026)
- Improves connectivity with certain Bluetooth devices
Good to see Sony still keeping the older models updated. I am still wondering when we will actually see any new model. The NW-ZX900 could be released later this year or early next, but as of this post, we still have no certification anywhere, or even any import filings.
The other new mysterious device/Walkman is YY1306B. It has been certified but it is only described as an “USB Audio Box”. Could it be a WM1-Series successor?
