Sony YY3006 confirmed as WH-CH730N

New recent import filings have revealed that the Sony YY3006 will be called WH-CH730N. This was expected, but it is always good to have confirmation.

The new filing has also finally revealed the headset colours.

• Black (B)
• White (W)
• Pink (P)
• Blue (L)
• Beige (C)

The new colour in this generation is beige (C). I am basing this colour code off other Sony headsets like the WH-CH520 which uses C for beige.

Apart from imports into the Philippines, there are filings also from Vietnam, although these could be export, as the headset is manufactured there, in addition to China, as was revealed by certifications.

The FCC confidentiality end date is on October 20th, so there is always a good chance that the WH-CH530 and WH-CH730N will be announced together, and it would make sense, as the previous WH-CH520 and WH-CH720N headsets were announced at the same time.

IFA 2026 (September 4-8) would be an ideal place for the debut of both headsets, but it could just be a press release before the show or after, rather than a debut at the show. I would like to see Sony add LDAC and LC3 support, because competitors at this price range either have one or both already. While the WH-CH720N has decent noise cancellation performance, it could easily be improved.
