PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge Wireless Headsets Revealed
PlayStation just pulled a surprise out of their bag and announced 2 new wireless PlayStation headsets, the Pulse, and Pulse Edge.
I usually spot PlayStation products ahead of time, but I have not seen any new PlayStation headsets certified anywhere yet. I suspect we will see certifications for the new headsets in about 1-2 months, similarly how the Pulse Elevate Speakers were announced in September 2025, and then appeared on the FCC in November.
The new headsets share the same design, with the exception of the headband, which is a bit thicker on the Pulse Edge. The plastic and earpads on the Pulse have a slight pattern, where as the Pulse Edge has a smoother finish. This is based off the render photos.

Pulse Wireless
The Pulse will probably be the less expensive of the pair based off the product page. The model features four magnets per Planar driver, an integrated microphone with AI noise reduction, and built in volume control. The Pulse Wireless will launch this holiday season in select markets. Price and pre-order details will be revealed soon according to the post on the PlayStation Blog.

Pulse Edge Wireless
The Pulse Edge has the same specifications as the Pulse, but doubles the magnets per Planar driver, from 4 to 8, includes a detachable boom mic, has built in active noise cancellation, features built-in controls with PS5 UI integration, and comes with a carrying case. Availability will be in early 2027. No price was revealed, but as this is the more premium offering, expect a much higher price.

Both models will be available in white and black, and include a PS Link USB-C adapter. The USB-C adapter will allow the headsets to connect via Bluetooth and PlayStation Link simultaneously. The adapter looks identical to the one here on Amazon.

The headsets do appear to use different materials for their exteriors, because when zooming up close, they are not the same.
Based off the previous Pulse devices, I believe Inventec will be the company manufacturing the headset, and submitting the certifications.
