Sony WH-CH730N Firmware Update Version 1.0.4
While continuing my long term testing of my WH-CH730N, a firmware update showed up on my app.
The update is dated September 29th, but I did not see anything on Tuesday. The firmware download was a bit slow, but the update was rather quick, a few minutes in total. Here are changes:
- Improves the operational stability
I cannot say I have had any operational stability issues, but the headset did sometimes fail to connect to the app when I was using LC3. But I blame the app for this, and not the headset, as the headset connects just fine to the phone with LC3 on. The same can be said for my laptop and LC3, there are no connectivity or stability issues.
I have noticed when the headset is connected to my laptop with LC3, the microphone cuts out from time to time, when speaking or recording audio. I will need to test more with LC3 off, to isolate if the issue is LC3 or the headset.
The ANC performance was unaffected with this update. If you wish to pick up a pair, please consider using my Amazon links below, it helps support the site, as I earn a small commission from each sale. Thank you.
