The Walkman Blog was started in August 2009, dedicated to the Sony Walkman Brand, covering, news, rumours and reviews. There were not many sites covering Sony news back then, especially the Walkman brand. Being a dedicated user of many Walkmans, I decided to start my own blog on Blogger. The site slowly grew over the many years, garnering a dedicated user fan base.

In later years, I expanded the blog slowly to cover other parts of the Sony brand, like wired headphones, wireless headsets, Xperia smartphones. Bravia and sometimes even PlayStation.

In March 2026, after more than 16 years on Blogger, I decided to move the blog over to dedicated hosting and switched to WordPress.
