Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION Leak By Sony New Zealand

Thanks to the Sony New Zealand and Sony Australia websites, we have a teaser/leak of the new Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION headset.

While there are no photos yet, the text on the websites does reveal some details, like the model name, “WH-1000XX” and a tagline, “Master the art of listening”. The model name does kind of make sense, as this year is 10 years (X) of the 1000X line, MDR-1000X was launched in 2016.

The description reveals the white colour, which matches the white colour in the YY2998 model. The model is meant to be announced on the May 19th, precisely one month from today, according to Dealabs. Here are the details we know so far:

• Noise Cancellation
• Mediatek MT2855 SoC (Sony V3?)
• DSEE Ultimate confirmed
• Sony QN3 (most likely)
• Metal hinges,

We have no driver size details, but perhaps 40mm, 50mm seems overkill. The user from reddit testing the headset, did say there is no USB Audio.
